Akiiki Romeo Biography.

Born 40 years ago, Romeo started learning music in school and in traditional dance groups in Uganda. He performed as a cabaret artist from 1989, then later joined the School of Music at Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda. He released his first solo album in 1994, performed with the Badindaz Band from 1994 to 1995 and then joined the KADS Band in 2001. Romeo has had several hit songs in Uganda. He won the Pearl of Africa Music Award for the Best Live Band Single, ‘No Parking’ in 2003. On this, his second solo album, he has retraced his roots and returned to traditional music techniques.
